Unscheduled downtime

The ONDA services experienced an unscheduled downtime on 28 January 2020 from 10:15 to 11:45 CET.
During this period, users connected to the ONDA web portal, the Catalogue or the Advanced API (ENS) might have experienced issues.
All services have now resumed and are back to nominal operation.
We apologise for the inconvenience that this may have caused to your activities.

Improved access to ONDA Help resources

All the ONDA Help resources – including our User Guides as well as our step-by-step Tutorials – have now been integrated in our web portal as online documents.
This means that not only can our users now benefit from an easier navigation through the various documents, but they are also able to search for specific terms and jump immediately to the relevant guide sections.

Update on the ONDA Cloud Archive

Further to our recent news regarding the move of some ONDA public datasets to the ONDA Cloud Archive, please be informed that the move is currently ongoing.
The affected datasets are:

Sentinel-1 (except for SLC)
Sentinel-2
Sentinel-3

The archiving period for each dataset is published and updated on the relevant Data pages.

ONDA Cloud Archive

We wish to inform our users that a subset of the oldest ONDA public datasets currently available on the ONDA Object Storage will gradually be moved on the ONDA Archive service based on OVH Cloud Archive technology.
What is the Cloud Archive?
The Cloud Archive is a secure and reliable storage solution offered by OVH, supporting the archiving of large amount of data that remain easily accessible by the users.

Our new Sentinel Planned Acquisition View service

The Sentinel Planned Acquisition View is a free ONDA tool allowing users to visualise tracks and planned acquisitions for Sentinel-1 over a world map.
Users are able to perform queries either on the global map or for a specific area and also to download the query results.

New Remote Desktop interface

An easy-to-use Remote Desktop graphical interface is now available for users of the ONDA Virtual Servers.
The customised template also includes a variety of pre-installed open-source software tools, e.g. SNAP, QGIS, R, etc. You can find the full list on our Tools page.
In order to use our new template:

Choose a Virtual Server with a minimum storage of 200 GB (view our Virtual Servers available solutions)
Select Remote Desktop from the list of our Customised ONDA templates

New release of the ONDA Catalogue, now supporting semantic searches

We have released a new version of the Catalogue, which also supports Semantic Searches: users are now able to perform complex geographical searches from the Catalogue Advanced Search form.
Search the Catalogue: example

Click on the Advanced Search icon
Enter your text query under the newly added Place field – e.g. glaciers in Italy
Select the mission – e.g Sentinel-2 – and any other applicable search criteria
Click the Search button
Visualise the results on the Catalogue map

Advanced API: additional access point to products in original format now available

The ONDA Advanced API allows access to low level components of the product through ENS (Elastic Node Server) without the need for a full product download. The service is available free of charge to users who order a Virtual Server.
The standard access is to products in a custom ENS format.
However, an additional access point is now available for users to access products in their native format as well.

Sentinel-5P data now available

Our users can now access and download Sentinel-5P data from the ONDA Catalogue.
The Sentinel-5P mission has the main objective of performing atmospheric measurements relating to air quality, climate forcing, ozone and UV radiation.

CAMS now on ONDA

Data from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) are now available from the ONDA Catalogue.
CAMS provides consistent and quality-controlled information related to air pollution and health, solar energy, greenhouse gases and climate forcing, everywhere in the world.
