ONDA for the H2020 CALLISTO project
We are proud to announce that ONDA will be employed in the context of the H2020 Project CALLISTO, for which the Grant Agreement was recently signed by the European Commission.
The CALLISTO project – Copernicus Artificial Intelligence (AI) Services and data fusion with other distributed data sources and processing at the edge to support DIAS and HPC infrastructures –, led by Serco Italia, responds to the H2020-SPACE-2020 call on the “Big data technologies and Artificial Intelligence for Copernicus” topic.
Driven by the vision of the European Commission “Destination Earth” initiative, CALLISTO will develop dedicated AI solutions that will help monitor the human and the environmental activity to support sustainable development, with the aim to bridge the current gap between the DIAS providers and the end users.
Earth observation data from ONDA will be therefore combined with data from heterogeneous distributed sources (including crowdsourced data, videos from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and data from in situ sensors) through machine learning and data fusion technologies. The semantically-enriched outcomes will be provided through interactive interfaces, mobile and Mixed Reality apps, thus creating an innovative immersive environment for the Copernicus market.
